Once the final design is approved, it is die-struck into thick copper or iron with both sides struck at the same time, then electroplated, enamel filled or sublimation printed.
A mirror mint finish requires the die to be polished to a much higher standard than a standard mint finish. The result is a flawless reflective surface that makes the UV printed design stand out dramatically.
Hard enamel colour can be added before polishing for a premium item, or soft enamel after polishing for a more economical option.
